Dreaming BIG….
Welcome to the restoration journey of our home built in 1860
Picture of the week….
FROM GAS STATION GRUNGE TO HISTORIC GLAMOUR
Step into our 1860 bathroom transformation, where history meets luxury. The original sketched glass window soars above 12-foot ceilings, while marble floors, crisp wainscoting, and bold wallpaper breathe new life into the space.
A glass shower, plush towels, and timeless vanity complete the perfect mix of old-world charm and modern indulgence.

Restoring History, One Mess at a Time
Welcome to Pound Home & Gardens! Our 1860 historic home where we’re not just restoring the past, we’re living in it every single day. Think sky-high 12 foot ceilings, original mouldings, etched glass windows, and wood floors begging to shine again.
Yes, we really do live here while bringing her back to life. (Hot Mess & Ironman edition: drywall dust in our coffee and tea, chandeliers on our wish list, and wallpaper dreams keeping us going.)
Our vision? A moody mansion with heart, a place for community, and eventually an elderly pet sanctuary where senior dogs and cats can live out their days surrounded by love.
Stick around! It is going to be messy, magical, and full of heart.
We hope you enjoy the journey as much as we do!

Original home color sketch - looking from the west. The second floor has since burned down.
The black/white sketch with the heart shaped drive is from an 1867 historical book and looking at the home from the northeast.
The bottom black/white sketch with the "horseshoe drive” is from the 1880’s when George Bandy owned the home. This sketch is looking at the home directly from the north.
